XPLOSIVE SUMMER DAY CAMP 2024!

Join the Xplosive Team for 3 Days of skills, drills and thrills!
Players will receive coaching from top high school, club coaches and players.  
Sessions will incorporate:

  • technical & tactical emphasis on stick work
  • offensive & defensive positioning & skills
  • field hockey specific training
  • speed & agility training 
  • international training tools to improve players game 
  • individualized goalkeeping instruction

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

At Xplosive Sports Academy Field Hockey Camp, we provide a high energy and motivational environment with caring coaches who are here to make you and your team a better player.  Individuals and teams are invited to enhance their field hockey training and become the best player you can possibly be.  Our camp is exclusively on turf and our coaches are top high school coaches, college coaches & collegiate athletes.  Here's what else you can expect:

The Best Field Hockey Training

Learn top-notch field hockey skills to enhance your level of play.  We focus on teaching individual and team tactical and technical skills.  

Each session includes:

  • Stick Work Instruction & Skills
  • Technical & Tactical Emphasis
  • Offensive & Defensive Skills & Positioning 
  • Training Aids that Enhance Skills (imported from Europe and never seen before in the USA).
  • Technology that Drives Field Hockey Performance.

Individualized Goalkeeping Instruction

Goalkeepers will have individual instruction with top-notch instructors who will teach the skills and techniques needed to dominate the circle.  

  • Angles & Positioning
  • Clearing Techniques
  • Communication Skills
  • Situational Drills with your Team

Goalkeepers will get lots of shots and instruction with a 4 to 1 player to coach ratio.  

Field Hockey Specific Performance Training

We utilize the most up to date current research in sports science to develop programs to make you and your team better athletes.  Learn how to produce more force and out run your competition.  We combine our sports performance training with necessary field hockey skills to create the complete field hockey player.  Each athlete will be given the opportunity to participate in the following:
 

  • Speed & Agility Training with Real Time Digital Feedback.
  • Improve Vision & Decision-making
  • Movement Efficiency
  • Motor Skills Capabilities

Injury Prevention Techniques

Learn techniques such as self-myofacial release to decrease trigger points in the body.  Learn how to activate your muscles properly to help reduce injuries during your season.  Enhance movement patterns to become more efficient on the field.

AN XPLOSIVE DAY

Campers will have three sessions per day.  The morning and the afternoon sessions will incorporate field hockey skills and sports performance.  Players will get top notch training in the basics:  stick work, types of hits, elimination skills and defensive tactics.  Sessions will also describe various game strategies and team concepts.  Defensive and offensive circle play will also be discussed.  Sports performance drills and techniques will be incorporated throughout the mornings and afternoons.  At the end of the morning and afternoon sessions there will be small games or scrimmages to apply the recently learned material.  The evening sessions will include scrimmages and tournaments.  Players will be selected to play in the All-Star Game on the last night of camp.  The last day will be the team tournament to finish out the week.  Below is a sample daily schedule:
