“I have been the Girls’ Lacrosse Coach at Moorestown High School for 22 years and have had the privilege of knowing and working with Trae Toliver for the past 15 of them.  I have witnessed firsthand the impact he has had not only on my athletes, but also on myself.  As a sports performance coach, Trae is absolutely one of the best!  He is extremely knowledgeable in his field and uses a plethora of diverse training methods to maximize the potential in each of his clients.  He is tough when he needs to be, pushing each client passed their perceived limits, but maintains a sense of compassion and warmth in each of his training sessions.  He is passionate about what he does and it shows through in the energy and enthusiasm he brings to each and every work-out.  Most importantly, he has an amazing sense of humor and an out-going personality, making each intense session extremely fun and rewarding.  I have worked with many trainers over my coaching career, but none have made more of an impact then Trae.  My players are lucky to have such a wonderful influence in their lives and I am proud to call him my friend.”

Working with Trae has helped me take my athletic career to the next level. Athletes are told “Championships are won in the off season”, in every off season I’ve had dating back to high school I trained with Trae. This past summer (2013) I worked out with Trae and was fortunate enough to win a MLL Championship with the Chesapeake Bayhawks. Throughout each workout he involves sport specific drills, reaction drills, explosiveness, and general strength and conditioning. Now playing for the Denver Outlaws (MLL) and Colorado Mammoth (NLL) my body and mind have to be prepared for the best lacrosse competition in the world. Trae motivates and pushes me to know I’ve out worked my competition all while being safe, having fun, and keeping each workout unique.”

“I have a 15 year old daughter who suffers from hip pain.  She was unable to make it through her games without discomfort and finally we realized that something had to be done.  I was referred to Trae Toliver at Velocity Sports Performance.  My daughter began sessions with Trae and the rest is history.

Trae’s knowledge is beyond anything I could have imagined.  He was able to focus in on my daughters specific issues and has managed to keep her on the field.

His level of dedication and obvious love of what he does makes her visits both productive and enjoyable.  They have developed a great working relationship and I trust him to always point us in the right direction.  He is extremely thorough and goes above and beyond to make sure that my daughter and I understand the process of her recovery and maintenance.  Trae is her trainer, but more than that he has become an educator, a motivator and a friend.

My daughter is stronger both on and off the field due to her sessions with Trae.  She is much more knowledgeable regarding her body and what it takes to keep herself healthy and ready to perform. Our experience has been exceptional.”

“Trae Toliver did an outstanding job of helping my daughter accelerate her rehab from an ACL injury. He clearly understood her desire to rehab strongly and with confidence in order to receive physician clearance to return to the field. Trae worked with her to establish a work out strategy which helped her strengthen her knee while also getting her back in overall shape when it was time to return to sports. Trae provided the best balance of coaching and pushing to help her reach her goals.”

“I have been training with Trae Toliver since I was in 9th grade. He has given me the tools to correct my technique and form on the field and in the weight room. He has definitely made me faster, quicker and stronger both physically and mentally.

Trae pushed me to my limits and helped me become a four-time high school lacrosse state champion at Moorestown High School, a Division I lacrosse player at Boston University where I was four-time America East champion, four-time NCAA appearances, 3rd highest career assist leader in school history, America East Conference assist leader in 2009 and 2010, and ranked 8th in the nation for assists in a season in 2009.

Today, as a Division I lacrosse coach at Villanova University I continue to train with Trae regularly. I recommend that athletes, no matter what sport take their game to the next level with him.”

“I started training with Trae when I was in 9th grade and continued throughout my high school and college careers.  Trae has always been dedicated to making me the best athlete and player I can be.  His knowledge of technique and attention to my body’s strengths and weaknesses allowed me to train every off season, entering each season prepared and healthy, with zero injuries to date.  His efforts and ability to make training fun and competitive helped guide me to becoming a top Division 1 lacrosse recruit.

Trae made sure I set my goals and standards high; I became a two time High School Lacrosse All American, an UnderArmour All American, South Jersey Lacrosse Coaches’ Midfielder of the Year, 2007 Camden Courier Post, Star Ledger and Burlington County Times Athlete and Player of the Year as well as First Team All State and All South Jersey for both Field Hockey and Lacrosse.

After being recruited to the top Ivy program in the nation, I continued to train with Trae because I knew he would help me gain the same success in college. He prepared me for my first year at Penn, where I played in all 19 games and started in the 2008 National Championship.  He took the time to edit my college training packets each summer and winter, personalizing them for what I needed to be the strongest and quickest lacrosse player.  He would open early to allow for two workouts a day: to heat, stretch and recover in the morning with core strength and conditioning workouts in the late afternoons. With Trae’s attention to specifics and tailoring workouts for lacrosse I graduated from Penn as a 4 time Ivy League Champion, 2010 and 2011 Second Team All-Ivy, 2010 IWLCA Second Team All-Region and 2011 IWLCA First Team All-Region.”

I started working out with Trae during the fall of my junior year at the University of Delaware. That spring season I had career highs in goals and assists while starting for our lacrosse team and helping us achieve a spot in the NCAA final four.  Working out with Trae all summer and the following winter, I went on to double my point totals from the year prior and come back in the best shape I had ever been in during my 4 year tenure at UD.  The difference in my game after working out with Trae was amazing and my teammates and coaches were all very impressed at how much my game had changed.

Even after college I continue to train with Trae because he makes the workouts fun and always mixes things up.  Every day I go to work out I expect something different.  No workout is ever the same and there is always some new exercise for you to push yourself with.  Trae helped me tremendously as a student athlete to be in the best shape I have ever been. I have developed a great relationship with Trae and he has been pushing me to excel whether it be for a NCAA title or an 18 hole golf match!”

“Working with Trae Toliver was one of the most influential and rewarding experiences not only of my athletic career, but my life. When I walked into his office still recovering from a bad hamstring tear I was in constant pain, weak in the knees at the thought of training again. Trae re-built me. His knowledge and expertise are superlative but it is his devotion and attention to detail that makes him an amazing coach. My injuries were as much mental as they were physical and he convinced me to trust in my body once more. Trae’s certainly been one of the best trainers I have ever had the pleasure to work with but he’s more than that, he is your friend. He has an intoxicating personality that pulls you in like gravity. Be prepared to laugh and definitely get ready to roll out. No matter what age, five to seventy-five I would send you to Trae.”
-Morgan Truncale

“Trae trained my team last winter, spring and summer and I don’t think I could have had a better person train them in making them better athletes.  Trae is first and foremost a football person who understands the demands of the game put on the athletes.  He pushes them to their maximum and does not go easy on them.  He made every player that worked with him a better athlete which in turn made them better football players.  I would love to have Trae as a strength and conditioning coach full time; unfortunately, we don’t have this at the high school level yet.”
